Situation Report: 2021 Haiti Earthquake No. 3

On the morning of Saturday, August 14, a 7.2 magnitude earthquake struck the southwestern portion of Haiti. IMA World Health and Lutheran World Relief, both of the Corus International family, have coordinated a multi-sectoral response distributing 1,000 tarps for temporary shelter and 4,000 water purification tablets to households in the Grand’Anse department and in towns to the west and east of Jeremie. The next phase of response is aimed at repairing or improving access to water, sanitation and hygiene resources; repairing damage; and replacing stocks and supplies at health facilities.
